Isle of Skye

Having lived on an island opposite the Isle of Skye, where the Cuillin Hills rise up from the sea, it seemed natural to get a job as a climbing instructor at the Raasay Outdoor Centre after leaving High School.

I worked as a staff producer for various opera companies, including Opera North. My most memorable production was Albert Herring by Britten, and directed by the late, great Claire Venables.

I play in a classical guitar quartet.

Cullin Hills Bridge

Started making furniture in 1990’s and soon after, exclusively with driftwood. The inspiration behind this was from a dear artist friend of mine called Bob Law. Bob was a minimalist artist and painted some huge black canvasses in the 1950’s www.artistboblaw.org.uk.

Exhibited at:

  • The London Art Fair

  • Piano Nobile Fine Paintings

  • The New Art Centre Sculpture Park

  • The Metropole Arts Centre

  • The Henley Art Festival

  • Oxfordshire County Sculpture Park

  • Orleans House Gallery

I now live and work in Somerset, England.
